Rather than working on buildings like the masons of old, today’s Freemasons focus on building themselves as people of integrity, and membership provides the structure to help achieve that goal.

Celebrating a centenary and Tercentenary

The Masonic Hall in Sondes Road Deal, received a makeover this year. With a huge undertaking of securing the main stone at the top, as it was starting to lean out. Large amounts of steel were used and all is now fit well into the future.

Who We Are

Founded in 1866, Lord Warden Lodge has been part of the fabric of Deal for more than 150 years. Today, we continue that tradition with a modern, inclusive approach to Freemasonry built on:

  • Integrity — becoming the best version of yourself
  • Service — supporting local and national causes
  • Respect — valuing people from all backgrounds

What We Do

Our lodge meets regularly between October and May, with additional social events throughout the year. Members enjoy:

  • Engaging ceremonies that explore moral and philosophical themes
  • Social evenings, dinners, and events with family and friends
  • Opportunities to support local charities and community projects
  • A welcoming environment for personal growth and learning

You don’t need any special knowledge to join — just an open mind and a willingness to take part.

Celebrating the Battle of Trafalager in the usual Naval Style. OVer £900 raised for the Royal Navy, Royal Marines Charity and the Deal Masonic Hall Building Fund.

Plus, £250 donated to the local Air Training Corps.

THE LAST MEETING OF THE SEASON.

The end of the Masonic season, culmilated in a new member joining, a presentation of a Pocket Watch and as usual, great fun.
